Embrace the Formalities

I am pretty laid back so this was a hard one for me. I had to go from my comfy jeans and casual T's to tailored dresses and no messy hair, at least it's only on the occasions when we have the events thank goodness. The formal dinners, the introductions and being in the spotlight all the time can be overwhelming but it does not have to be. Embrace these wonderful experiences and make the most of it. Your time to shine is seen by all and isn't it great to have your voice be heard. I am grateful to have the oppourtunity to have a loving husband and be in a position for US to be able to take in this journey together. We both are learning and growing and it's amazing. Sharing my experiences as with all of you is wonderful way for you to feel connected and in the know and that is what I plan to do.

Support a Cause

It may seem like an easy thing to do but there is a lot more to this than just giving a shout out and donating money. This entails being active in the cause and actually being a voice for the organization you choose. Balancing your home life and all the demands of being a Princess is no easy task. Find something your truly passionate about and jump in. Put your ideas out there to assist in getting their message out and be proactive as opposed to reactive. These simple tactics can have a huge impact on what the outcome of your intended audience. What better way to give back for all that has been given to you than to volunteer your time making the world a better place.

Meticulous

This is a full-time job all in itself. The daily struggle alone to look "perfect" is not an easy task. I would like nothing more than to devour a mushroom swiss burger with a monster bag of onion rings. I don't deprive myself by any means but again, moderation. Working out and meditation are part of my day, not only to stay fit but this gives me time to unwind and stay focused. I follow a strict beauty routine using mostly natural products you would already have in your home. I have found that by doing the simple things as stated above it helps tremendously in cutting my time in half.You will look naturally beautiful no matter who happens to be able to get a picture at the most inappropriate time.

Etiquette

You are expected to maintain a level of certain standards and I was fortunate enough to have been brought up in this world already conditioned to know these rules to live by so it has not been so difficult. I have had to endure learning at least three other languages as well as obtain a college degree. I found a great appreciation for art and choose that path for myself. Although I am not expected to work now that I am married I can volunteer my time if it serves a good purpose.

Act Proper

It may seem a little silly to have to say it and come off as it just being common sense but we have all seen the tabloids blow up with photos, videos or harsh stories that can be truly damaging for someone in a Royal Family. Your duties to maintain a level of high standards always outweigh your getting crazy on a yacht in Barbados. You are representing not only your family name but your husbands the Prince and that is serious business, and your groomed from a young age to know that and live up to those standards. Of course when your young you are able to live a little more and having certain privileges definitely has major perks, but it is expected to be handled in a proper manner regardless.

Something Magical

The wedding has taken place and turned out absolutely beautiful. Being a Princess marrying a Prince I for sure thought we would be in for some sort of mishap, much to my surprise things went so very smooth and the environment was fun, upbeat and fun was had by all. Now things get real. This may all seem like fun and games but it takes a lot of work to be Princess and in my blog I will keep you not only up on our current events but also give you a look into the life and duties I am expected to uphold and maintain.
